Manchester City Needs Not Activate £632m Release clause To Sign Lionel Messi

Barcelona are hoping to reach a £250m compromise with Manchester City over Lionel Messi deal, but according to the latest reports from Spain Messi’s suitors no longer have to trigger a release clause to get the Argentine. Manchester City are hoping to sign Lionel Messi for free after the player revealed that he has an option in his contract to leave at the end of each season.

However, Barcelona claim that arrangements has expired since June 10 and can’t come into effect until next summer. According to recent reports from Spain, Lionel Messi has told the club that he will not show up for pre-season training in an effort to force his move out of the club.

Barcelona chiefs are hoping to agree a £250m players plus cash deal with Manchester City, rather than go into war with the Messi over his potential move to the Premier giants. The blues are in the pole position to sign the six-time Ballon d’Or winner, after he made it clear that he is ready to leave the Catalans this summer.
