Organisers of Nigeria Summit Sports Project (NSSP) have disclosed that the 4th edition of the summit will commence from 22-24th March, 2021.
The chairman of NSSP, Mr.Philip F.Azeigbe who revealed this in a statement said the 4th edition of the project will focus on exploring modern paragmetic modules of developing sports sectors.
He said NSSP has built an inclusive Public Private Partnership (PPP) with relevant stakeholders to reposition sports to be competitive, projecting sports as huge investments tool in generating funds for national Development.
He said “the program would enhance and empower the youth potentials and setting a platform to creating employments opportunities and to use sports economically as a window for effective revenue generation.Again, promoting the campaign of self reliance.
“NSSP is engaging partnering and facilitating stakeholders to be part of the NASSCON events in advancing school sports at all levels of governance in order improve health, talent development and management.We are optimistic that the invited public and private sectors at Local and International, Institutions, Ministries, Departments, Agencies,”he said.
According to him, NASSCON programme is to commence by April 2021, is for schools in Nigerian so as to build a viable sports future for our beloved country by involving them young with enlightened minds. The pilot event will be in six states by the zonal divide.
“We shall also unveil the National Schools Sports Championship and Olympiad in Nigeria a.k.a NASSCON officially. Awards will be conferred to institutions, organizations and Individuals for monumental contributions and achievement to motivate more investors and investments into Nigerian sports.
“The summit activities include Resourceful Paper Presentations, Exhibitions, Awards Conferment, The Official Unveiling of the National Schools Sports – NASSCON, Inauguration of the NASSCON National Coordinating Committee, the commencement of the National Sports Raffle Draw Promotions and the Sports Millionaire Matrix Scheme, etc”.
Azeigbe has assured the participants that the event will among other things resourcefully gain insights, interactions and contacts, accessibility to sports funds, materials/equipments, and other post events programme.
Meanwhile,the organization has appealed to the Honourable Ministers of Youth and Sports, and that of Education Mr. Sunday Dare and Malam Adamu Adamu, to identify with this PPP Project and the imperative of the summit and school sports and provide us with all facilitation resources to support the success of the events.
This year’s theme is “Our Sports policies and the economic future of the Nigerian sports”.
