Apostle Eunice Gordon Osagiede, the General Overseer, Spirit and Life Bible Church, Benin City who died on Monday, was a Big social crusader for women rights and welfare, and youth empowerment.
Through her Youth Fellowship, hundreds of thousands of Youths were empowered to live godfearing and productive lifestyles.
She also had a Scholarship support Scheme, for indigent students, a women fellowship, under the Jesus Women Prayer Ministry, in addition to a private Orphanage home.
She initiated a fellowship support and empowerment of Young growing ministers in the body of Christ and also reach out to social services.
Osagiede founded Tabitha Services limited in the course of her philanthropic work through organizing the old peoples and helping them.
It was in recognition of these roles that she was honoured in 2019 by the United States of America Congress with the Women of Excellence award for the year.
She was the only African woman that featured in the 2019 award, according to U.S. Congressman Danny K. Davis and she was honoured along with 19 others out of the 150 that were screened across the globe.
A statement issued by her son, Gordon Osagiede Jr, on Monday said the wife of Apostle Dr Gordon Erhauyi Osagiede (late) passed on after a brief illness at the age of 62.
