The United States Embassy in Nigeria has announced, it is closing its embassy today in honor of the President’s Day.
In a post on its verified Facebook page, the embassy said:”The U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria is closed today in honor of President’s Day. Presidents’ Day is an official, national holiday that
is celebrated on the third Monday of February in most of the United States. The holiday originated in the 1880s to honor George Washington, thecountry’s first president. Today it is considered a holiday that honors all 46 U.S. presidents.”
