The management of Usmanu Danfoidyo University, Sokoto has advised the students to always keep their rides: vehicles and bikes, at the secured areas within the campus to avoid theft.
This was stated in a circular released by the management via the office of the school Chief Security Officer, Col AY Gwandu which was tagged ‘UDUS/VC/SEC/SG/IX/191 and dated 1st of March, 2020.
The circular reads: “It was observed by the *University Management* that *vehicles/motorcycles* are parked indiscriminately at any space within the Main Campus of the University.
“This mode of parking makes *vehicles/motorcycles* so vulnerable and undermine the security of both vehicles/motorcycles and the University Environment.
“In view of the above, the University Community and visitors to the University are advised to always park their *vehicles/motorcycles* at secured areas in order to avoid theft of their properties,” the circular added.
