NUJ, DAAR outraged over attack on journalists in Jangebe, Zamfara

The Nigeria Union of journalists, DAAR HQ have expressed shock and disgust over the attack on her members in Jangede, Zamfara state on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
A statement signed by Patrick Abulu gave the names of the affected journalists as;  Ihotu Odoh, AIT Defence correspondent, Adamu Silas, Zamfara state Government House Correspondent and Sulieman Wahab Ayodeji, a Cameraman.
The NUJ/DAAR HQ is heartbroken to hear that the unmarked vehicle conveying  three of the staff members to Jangede for updates on the release of abducted school Girls of Government Secondary School, was attacked by angry youths, with the wind screen shattered, creating fear and psychological trauma on the journalists.
We at NUJ/DAAR HQ, wishes to call on DAAR management to henceforth provide safer Transportation and  adequate security for personnel detailed for such assignment at these trying times, with regards to security.
While the NUJ calls for proper medical checks on the affected staff, it however applauds the management for extra effort to get realtime facts on the Zamfara schoolgirls abduction/release, but appeals for more security contiousness next time out.
