Brazilian footballer Lucas Alves who is currently with Nigerian club Kwara United has exclusively revealed to Legit.ng that he will be glad to play for the Super Eagles.
The joy of all professional players around the world is to play for their national teams so as to show their qualities to their people.
Being a Brazilian, Lucas Alves should be dreaming of playing for the Samba Boys, but he is already thinking about the possibility of featuring for the three-time African champions.
In history, Super Eagles have never had any Brazilian pleading his allegiance for Nigeria and Lucas Alves is hoping to be the first to break such record.
But Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will be the determinant of his fate as Lucas Alves disclosed that he will grab the chance to wear the Super Eagles jersey.
”If Nigeria want me to play for them, I will be happy and I will rush to accept the chance to wear the golden Super Eagles jersey.
”For me to have accepted to come down to Nigeria and be playing for Kwara United shows that I love this country and also the people here.
”I have been watching the Super Eagles games for years right from when I was young during the days of Rashidi Yekini, Okocha and others and I am impressed that Nigeria has produced good footballers.”
Lucas Alves also explained to Legit.ng that he loves famous Nigerian musician Davido claiming that he listens to all his songs everyday.
”I must confess that Davido is an incredible musician and a blessing to Nigeria because his songs give me inspiration.”
Meanwhile, Kwara United are currently occupying first position on the Nigerian League table and Lucas Alves and his teammates will face Nasarawa United on Sunday, March 4.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba explained that he joined Nigerian club Kwara United so as for him to win the Nigerian Professional Football League title with the Ilorin based club.
Dele Aiyenugba remains one of the best goalies in Nigeria considering his records years back winning the CAF Champions League title twice with Enyimba and also League crown 4 times.
