The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government,Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim has urged Igala Students Association (ISA),Benue State Polythectnic chapter, to shun any crime related activities while in school, noting that the present government will never tolerate any act of criminality
Abagwu made the call when the association paid him a courtesy visit at the council Secretariat, yesterday,in Ankpa, commended the students for finding him worthy of their visit and also for conferred an excellence award in the area of security.
While reacting to their request,he advised them to put in to writing so that council will take a proper action in making it a reality.
On his part,the Attah Igala of the Association, Mr. Musa, explained that students were eager to pay you courtesy visit and also recognize what you are doing in the council, in terms of security for all of us, saying that “There is zero crime in the council and also indigenes and non, can come to do their lawful activities any time any day.”
He said, “It is a unanimous decision made by the association to pay a courtesy call to the chairman and as well pass a vote of confidence on him, saying they have humongous success in the land, if not for anything, but security aspect alone.”
The association, however, appealed to the chairman to help them in the tackling some of the challenges facing the Igala students who are studying in Ben Poly, to offer them some moral advice as teeming youths strive for a better future.
