Men of the Kogi state vigilante group apprehended a young man who disguised as a woman in the early hours of Wednesday. The disquished dresser was arrested in Zariagi community, Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi state.
The state sponsored security outfit apprehended him when they suspected his movement. Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, the executive chairman of Adavi Local Government upon notification promptly arrived at the location where the incident happened and confirmed the incident. The council boss instructed the Kogi State Vigilante Group to hand over the man to men of the Nigeria Army present at the scene for further questioning.
The suspect whose name was later confirmed to be Musa said he is an indigene of Kogi State from Ofu Local Government. He claimed to be a dancer but he is yet to disclose his motive in that area and the reason for dressing as a woman.
Recall that Zariagi community has been a point of reference where kidnappers do terrorize travelers before the government decided to deployed more security agencies and surveillance to the location to prevent such incidents, and protect lives & property, and also to keep the environment safe for the dwellers, investors, and sojourners.
Information signed by Engr. M. Jamiu Habeeb, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Adavi Local Government chairman confirmed that the Nigerian Army has taken over the investigation, and the issue will be investigated and Musa will be tried if found guilty of any criminal act.
