Stolen Mandate And Denial Of The People’s Representative, By Maru/Bungudu Concerned Youths

With regards to the Maru/Bungudu National Assembly, we write with dismay about the electoral processes of the just concluded primaries of the All Progressive Congress (APC). The All Progressive Congress has earlier affirmed its commitment to the principle of free and fair electoral processes with regard to the 2022 primary elections of the party. However, the reverse was the case for the Maru/Bungudu National Assembly primaries.  It wasn’t only visible to the blind but also audible to the deaf that the electoral processes of the said primaries were not free and fair. There were a lot of insincerities and maneuvers. In fact, thugs were hired to disrupt and downturn the fairness of the whole process.  To top it all off, the state member of the house of assembly representing Maru North was sighted in a video voting in favor of his and the government’s most preferred candidate, all in the name of assisting the deligates who couldn’t write.  We are therefore calling on the APC NWC and all the necessary stakeholders in charge to look into the matter and do justice to all the aspirants.
