As Nigeria gears up for the 2027 general elections, Chief Chris Biose, popularly known as “Obidient Daddy,” has revealed the strategies being deployed by the Obidient Movement to secure Peter Obi’s victory and redefine the country’s democratic landscape.
Biose, Chairman of the Delta Obedient Elders’ Council and a former Teaching Service Commissioner, spoke passionately about the state of the nation’s electoral system, calling for urgent reforms.
“INEC has consistently failed to deliver credible elections, and Nigerians must take decisive action to end this trend,” Biose stated. He urged youths and pro-democracy activists to demand transparency and resist political manipulation.
The Obidient Movement’s roadmap includes:
- Electoral Act Amendment: Making electronic transmission of results mandatory at all levels.
- Youth Engagement: Mobilizing a Pro-Democracy Brigade to expose vote buyers and protect polling units.
- Grassroots Advocacy: Encouraging civic awareness and holding INEC officials accountable.
Biose also criticized Nigeria’s current presidential system, describing it as “costly and unsuitable” for a diverse and developing nation. He advocated for a shift to a parliamentary system, which he said would foster inclusivity and curb executive excesses.
A Call for Liberation
“The fight isn’t just about elections,” Biose emphasized. “It’s about mental liberation—breaking free from neo-colonial and feudal structures that stifle progress.”
With the Obidient Movement leading the charge, the 2027 elections could mark a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s history. As Biose puts it, “Nigerians must reclaim their future and build a nation that works for all.”
