A member of the National Assembly, Rep. Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba, said he has all it takes to become the Governor of Nasarawa State in 2027.
Nalaraba, who represents Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, is aspiring to contest the governorship seat of the state in 2027 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
He made this known on Saturday in Akwanga during a meeting with his coordinators from the 35 electoral wards of Nasarawa North Senatorial District.
He stated that he was “qualified, competent, and has the capacity to become the governor of the state in 2027.”
The meeting aimed to familiarize himself with the coordinators to boost his forthcoming governorship campaign in the state.
“The people here are my ward coordinators in the 35 electoral wards of Akwanga/Nassarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency.
“In this meeting, there is a covenant that we will work together over my 2027 governorship ambition.
“The message is for them to return to their wards and engage with youths, women, communities, groups, and organizations.
“It is their duty to explain to the people of their communities who Nalaraba is and what Nalaraba can do, and to carry my message to all parts of the state,” he said.
Nalaraba assured that he would prioritize education, health, youths empowerment, and security.
“I intend to consolidate on the achievements of Governor Abdullahi Sule in the solid mineral sector, among others,” he said.
Nalaraba stated that he had done much in road construction, scholarship, youths employment, and empowerment.
He advised the people of the state to shun politics of religion and ethnicity for the state’s progress and development.
“I do not believe in politics of religion and ethnicity. I believe in competency, as competency should determine who becomes the governor of the state,” the lawmaker added.
He solicited prayers and support from all to enable him to succeed.
Earlier, Mr. Musa Ayas, Zonal Coordinator of Nasarawa North of the “Nalaraba for Governor” group, highlighted Nalaraba’s achievements in road construction, education, and employment.
Ayas, a former chairman of Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area, said Nalaraba would bring speedy development to the state if elected.
Ayas called on the people of Nasarawa North and the state to support Nalaraba’s governorship aspiration to enable him to succeed.
Other stakeholders praised Nalaraba for his people-oriented projects and called on the people of the state to pray for and support Nalaraba to succeed in his governorship ambition come 2027.
