Chiamaka, popularly known as Chiamax, daughter of the late veteran Nollywood actor Diewait Ikpechukwu, has announced her father’s death, insisting that she should be the one to break the news of his passing and not the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
Ms Chiamax expressed her displeasure over the earlier announcement by the AGN in an emotional video posted on her official Instagram page on Friday.
“Please, Actors Guild, I don’t want you posting my daddy. I didn’t want to do this video, but make nobody post my papa. Please, this is a very hard video to make. Please, you people should leave me. Nobody should post my daddy’s poster,” she said.
She expressed emotional difficulty making the announcement, noting that she was still wearing a shirt her father wore a day before his death.
“I’m still wearing my daddy’s shirt, he wore it yesterday. Let me be the one to announce my papa’s death. I don’t want you guys to do that for me,” she added.
