Preach Good News Of Pilgrimage, Pam Advised State Leaders In Athens

Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev Dr Yakubu Pam has enjoined the States Pilgrimage Leaders and Managers to go home and preach the good news of Pilgrimage in their various states .

The NCPC boss disclosed this in Athens, Greece yesterday during a strategic meeting with the states Pilgrimage Leaders at the end of their Pre- Visit tour of Rome and Greece.

He explained that the choice of Rome and Greece for the 2023 Main Pilgrimage exercise was a collective decision of the Conference of States which comprises all the states chairmen and Secretaries of the States Christian Pilgrims Welfare Boards.

The NCPC, therefore, urged them to abide by the decision reached by the Conference of States to ensure that the Rome and Greece Pilgrimage exercise would be successfully actualised.

He further said that the decision of the Conference of States was due to the war that broke out on 7th October, 2023 between Israel and Hamas group.

The NCPC helmsman admonished them to implement the resolutions of the Conference of States, especially with regard to the outcome of the pre -visit tour of Rome and Greece.

He advised them to go back home and drive the Pilgrimage process in their respective states by kick starting the sensitization of christians in ernest in their states .

Pam also urged them to ensure they do the needful on time with their states chief executives.

“What we have seen here, we will try our best to implement it”. He added, ” we are the one to build the history of this place and make it strong,” he said.

Earlier, the Chairman of Confidence of states, Rev Isaiah Magaji commended the NCPC team led by the Executive Secretary for putting together the 2023 Pre-visit tour of Holy sites and hotels in Rome and Greece.

Magaji called on his colleagues to go back home and reciprocate the gestures of NCPC by advancing the cause of Christian pilgrimage in their various states and ensure their states key into the forthcoming Rome and Greece Main Pilgrimage exercise.
