Katsina: Governor Radda Boost Transport, Add 7 Fleet To KTSTA

Katsina, Nigeria: In a move aimed at revolutionizing public transportation within the state, the Katsina State Government has pledged its support for the completion of a new site for the Katsina State Transport Authority (KTSTA). This commitment, announced by Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, comes alongside the unveiling of seven brand new buses added to the authority’s fleet.

The new KTSTA site, strategically located along the Katsina-Kano road, promises to provide enhanced convenience and improved facilities for passengers. Recognizing the limitations of the current park in accommodating the growing number of buses and travelers, Governor Radda emphasized the importance of this project in ensuring a seamless and comfortable travel experience for all.

Governor Radda lauded the prudent management of resources by the KTSTA leadership, urging other government agencies to follow suit. He believes such responsible financial practices hold the key to building a prosperous future for Katsina State.

Despite the rising costs of fuel due to the withdrawal of subsidies, the KTSTA has managed to thrive under Governor Radda’s administration. General Manager Alhaji Haruna Musa Rugoji revealed that the purchase of the seven new buses was funded entirely by revenue generated within the past seven months. This remarkable feat underscores the authority’s commitment to self-sufficiency and its ability to adapt to challenges.

Alhaji Rugoji expressed his deepest appreciation to the Governor for his unwavering support, including the planned acquisition of forty additional buses. He further commended Governor Radda’s astute leadership in guiding the authority towards providing exceptional service to the people of Katsina State.

With the commitment to the new KTSTA site and the expansion of its fleet, the Katsina State Government is taking a major step towards enhancing transportation infrastructure and connectivity within the state. This initiative not only promises convenience and comfort for passengers but also paves the way for economic growth and development.
