Nigerian comedian, Chacha Emeje, also known as Chaicom Comedy, recently took to her Facebook page to share a shocking and eye-opening story about her past relationship.
In a lengthy and candid post, Chaicom revealed how her ex-partner’s mother threatened her and tried to control her relationship with her son, ultimately leading to the demise of their romance.
According to Chaicom, the relationship seemed normal at first, with the couple visiting each other’s families and even discussing marriage. However, things took a dark turn when she discovered her ex-partner’s strange habits, such as refusing to drink from the same cup or eat from the same plate as anyone else. Despite this, he would engage in these behaviours with Chaicom, which raised red flags.

The situation escalated when Chaicom visited her ex-partner’s family house, where his mother made her feelings known. “She told me how her son was helping me with tasks he had never done for her before, like ironing my church dress,” Chaicom wrote. “Then she said to me, ‘My son loves you… but my son is in my hands and he will listen to nobody but me. So you will have to pass through me if you want to be happy.'”
Chaicom described the encounter as “dreadful” and stated that she couldn’t cope with the level of control and insecurity displayed by her ex-partner’s mother. She ultimately ended the relationship, citing petty reasons to avoid straining the relationship between her ex-partner and his mother.
In a statement, Chaicom said, “I’m not desperate, and I don’t regret my decision. I’d rather speak out now than hide my identity and chat anonymously about my experience later. I hope my story can serve as a warning to others and encourage them to prioritize their own happiness and well-being.”
Chaicom’s post has sparked a conversation about toxic relationships, controlling behavior, and the importance of setting boundaries. Her bravery in sharing her story has inspired others to speak out about their own experiences, and her fans have praised her for her honesty and strength.
