Police Slams N20m Bounty On Wanted Suspects Andrew Wynne, Lucky Ehims Over Attempted Overthrow Of President Tinubu

The Nigerian Police Force has launched a manhunt for two suspects, Andrew Wynne, a British national, and Lucky Ehims, a Nigerian, wanted for their alleged involvement in a plot to overthrow the democratically elected government of President Bola Tinubu.

On Monday, September 2, 2024, the Police announced a N20 million bounty on the suspects, offering N10 million for information leading to the arrest of each. This comes hours after declaring them wanted for their roles in orchestrating violence and unrest across the country.

According to Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyuwa Adejobi, “We have extensive evidence of their involvement in subversive activities aimed at destabilizing the country. We urge anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward and assist us in bringing them to justice.”

The suspects are accused of receiving substantial financial backing from foreign sources to fund their activities, which include violent protests, dissemination of false information, and other unlawful acts aimed at creating anarchy and justifying their illegal plot.

Andrew Wynne, described as a “foreign mercenary,” is alleged to have built a network of sleeper cells to topple the government and plunge the nation into chaos. “He rented a space at Labour House, Abuja, for an ‘Iva Valley Bookshop’ and established ‘STARS of Nations Schools’ as a cover for his subversive activities,” Adejobi revealed.

The Police have already apprehended and arraigned ten other suspects in connection with the investigation. “We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those involved in this plot are brought to justice,” Adejobi assured.

The public is urged to provide any information leading to the arrest of Andrew Wynne and Lucky Ehims. The Police can be reached through their dedicated hotline or by visiting the nearest police station.
