Nigerian Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has agreed to a one-year loan deal with Turkish club Galatasaray, ending a long transfer saga involving Chelsea and Saudi club Al Ahli.
According to Fabrizio Romano, “Napoli’s release clause has been reduced from €130m to €75m, and the deal includes an option for Napoli to extend Osimhen’s contract until 2027.”
Osimhen, who was axed from the Napoli squad for the season, is set to earn €9/10m in salary during his loan stint at Galatasaray. The move is seen as a welcome opportunity for the Nigerian striker to get back to playing football.
“I’m excited to join Galatasaray and contribute to the team’s success,” Osimhen said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and getting started.”
The loan deal is set to run until June 2025, and Osimhen is expected to be presented to Galatasaray fans in Turkey shortly.
This move marks a new chapter in Osimhen’s career, and fans are eager to see him back on the pitch.
