Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has made significant changes to the management of Lobi Stars Football Club, relieving Dominic Iorfa of his position as Executive Vice Chairman. The Governor stated, “With immediate effect, the Lobi Stars FC will be under the direct supervision of the Benue Sports Council.”
A new six-man board has been constituted to manage the club, chaired by Dr. Philip Nongu. The Governor directed that all handovers be completed before midnight on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
According to Solomon Iorpev, the Governor’s Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity, and Strategic Communication, “The Governor has directed that all Management handovers must be completed before midnight today, Saturday, September 7, 2024.”
The new board members include Dr. Iorngulum Malu as Secretary, Chief Solomon Andiir, Mr. Harry Yachi, Mr. Francis Ejiga, and Sir James Iorpuu as Government Representatives.
This move marks a significant shift in the management of Lobi Stars FC, and it remains to be seen how the changes will impact the club’s performance.
