Many houses in Maiduguri, Borno State’s capital submerged in floods and residents stranded after the Alau Dam collapsed on Tuesday morning.
Residents have said the flooding was worse ever witnessed in the State.

While a video shared by Nigerian Television Authority on Tuesday, September 10, revealed multiple people stranded and unable to return to their homes due to the severe flooding.
Hundreds of families have lost their homes, forcing many to spend the night outdoors.
