Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is gearing up for a cabinet reshuffle, according to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. Onanuga revealed this information during a press conference at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday.
“The President has expressed his desire to reshuffle his cabinet and he will do it,” Onanuga stated. However, he noted that President Tinubu hasn’t given a specific timeline for the reshuffle.”
In addition to the impending reshuffle, President Tinubu has also directed his ministers to be more proactive in sharing their ministries’ accomplishments with the public. Onanuga emphasised that some ministers have been “media shy,” but the President wants them to overcome this and showcase their work.
“The President has given an order to all his ministers at the last Federal Executive Council meeting to go out there and speak about the activities of his administration,” Onanuga said. “They should go out there and talk about what their ministries have been doing.”
