In conformation of the institution’s giant strides, Salem University Lokoja, Kogi State has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer seven new academic programs.
The approved courses include Nursing, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Data Science.
“This achievement demonstrates our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation,” said Professor Alewo Johnson Akubo, Vice Chancellor of Salem University.
Akubo said ” We are dedicated to providing our students with a comprehensive education that equips them for success in their chosen fields.”
The new programs will commence in the 2024/25 academic session. This expansion is expected to enhance the university’s reputation as a center of academic excellence.
“We are thrilled to offer these new courses, which are tailored to meet the needs of our rapidly changing world,” added Professor Akubo. “Our students will have access to cutting-edge facilities and expert faculty, ensuring they receive a world-class education.”
Founded in 2007 by Archbishop Sam Amaga of Living Faith Foundation, Salem Chapel, Salem University has consistently demonstrated its commitment to providing quality education.
