Tragedy Strikes Zamfara: Truck Driver Kills Family of 6
A devastating accident occurred in Gusau, Zamfara State capital, on Sunday, September 29, 2024, claiming the lives of a couple and their four children.
The tragic incident happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. along the Gusau Hotel roundabout, leaving the community in shock and grief.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the truck driver, who was reversing at the time, lost control and smashed into the family, who were traveling on a motorcycle.
The driver fled the scene immediately, abandoning the family’s lifeless bodies. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) promptly responded to the scene, evacuating the bodies of the victims.
The family was laid to rest on Sunday evening, according to Reedwan Abdulazeez, a member of the Yoruba community in Gusau.
The Zamfara State government has been urged to take swift action to address the rising cases of road accidents and ensure justice for the victims’ family.
