Lobi Stars FC Appoints Daniel Amokachi as Technical Adviser
In a bid to overhaul its strategy and improve performance, Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) club Lobi Stars FC has announced the appointment of former Super Eagles coach Daniel Amokachi as its new technical adviser.
According to a statement released by the club’s head of media, Emmanuel Uja, on Sunday in Makurdi, Amokachi’s appointment takes immediate effect. This development follows the board’s thorough review of the team’s recent performance, which led to the dismissal of former coach Eugene Agagbe.
Agagbe’s tenure was marked by a disappointing run of results, failing to meet the board’s five-match win target. During this period, the team managed only one victory while losing three matches.

“This decision follows the board’s review of Agagbe’s failure to meet a five-match win target, managing only one victory while losing three,” Uja explained.
As part of the restructuring effort, all backroom staff have been relieved of their duties and instructed to reapply if they wish to continue with the club. They have been directed to hand over all club property in their possession to the club’s secretary immediately.
Daniel Amokachi, a seasoned coach and former Nigerian international, brings his wealth of experience to Lobi Stars FC. His appointment is expected to inject fresh momentum into the team and drive success.
Amokachi’s expertise and leadership will be crucial in revitalizing the team’s performance and achieving the club’s objectives.
