The 88-year-old monarch, who has been on the throne since 2015, was found to have a lung infection in May, accompanied by fever and joint pain.
Following medical tests at the Royal Clinics at Al Salam Palace in Jeddah, King Salman was advised to undertake a treatment program and antibiotics until the infection cleared.
