In a statement issued on Thursday, the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the directive, which is aimed at paying tribute to the late General’s exemplary service and leadership in the fight against violent crimes and insurgency in Nigeria.
Egbetokun lauded General Lagbaja for his gallantry, dedication, and tireless efforts to ensure national security, describing him as a great leader who deserved the nation’s full respect and honor.
“The Nigeria Police Force joins the entire nation in mourning the loss of a distinguished military officer who served with passion and commitment,” the statement read.
The directive is part of the police’s efforts to honor the memory of the late COAS, who passed away recently.
