Lugard TV has extended an internship offer to Khadijat Blessing Mohammed, the top graduating student from the Department of Mass Communication at the Federal University Lokoja (FUL).
The offer was made by Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, during a meeting with Mohammed at the Government House Media Centre in Lokoja on Thursday.
Isah emphasized that the internship reflects the governor’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering professional growth in the media sector. He said the program would provide Mohammed with hands-on experience in media operations while offering exposure to professionals working within and around Kogi State Government.
“The internship is designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by giving students practical insights into journalism, content creation, and media intelligence,” Isah explained.
He further noted that Mohammed’s placement at the Government House Media Centre and Lugard TV would allow her to gain experience in various aspects of the media, offering valuable opportunities to specialize in areas such as content creation and media management.
In response, Mohammed expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, vowing to make the most of the internship and contribute positively to the media team at the Government House Media Centre.
