ECOWAS Speaker, Ghana President-elect, Named Among 100 Most Reputable Africans 2025
Reputable Poll International (RPI), in collaboration with the Global Reputation Forum (GRF), has named Speaker of the Parliament of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOPARL), Memounatou Ibrahima, amongst the 100 Most Reputable Africans, 2025 edition.
Ghana’s president-elect, John Dramani Mahama; Tuma Adama Gento-Kamara of Sierra Leone; Leymah Gbowee of Liberia; Peter Akwaboah of Ghana; Dr. Ladislas Prosper Agbesi of Benin Benin Republic; the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III of Nigeria and Rosa Whitaker Duncan-Williams of Ghana are among honorees on the prestigious list.
Others include: Mamadú Sanó of Guineé-Bissau; Serge Ekué of Togo; Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa of Ghana; Vincent Nmehielle of Sierra Leone; Sami Tchak of Togo; Cosmas Maduka of Nigeria; Isatou Ceesay of The Gambia; Nuhu Ribadu of Nigeria and Brian Amoateng of Ghana.
Member of the House of Parliament and Opposition and Leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, made the list in the African Diaspora category.
The highly anticipated annual announcement celebrates African leaders, innovators, and changemakers who have made exceptional contributions across diverse sectors, including Business, Governance, Arts, Education, and humanitarian efforts.
The 2025 honorees represent the best of Africa, embodying excellence, leadership, and integrity while inspiring progress and positive transformation across the continent.
Highlights of the 2025 list include: Sectoral Excellence and Influence & Impact. Sectoral Excellence list includes trailblazers in technology, creative industries, sports, public service, academia, and environmental advocacy; while Influence and Impact includes candidates selected for their ability to inspire, influence, and create meaningful change locally and globally.
