A significant portion of the budget will be allocated to personnel costs (₦1.69 billion), overhead costs (₦967.3 million), capital expenditure (₦42.2 million), reserve stabilization fund (₦716.5 million), and loan servicing (₦1.74 billion).

“This budget is not merely a collection of numbers; it is a proof of our commitment to transparency, accountability, and impactful governance,” said Hassan during the presentation.

He emphasized the importance of diligent scrutiny by council members and collaboration with the Executive to ensure the successful implementation of the budget, which he believes will lead to significant progress for the local government.

Hassan reaffirmed his commitment to the growth and prosperity of Jalingo, citing the importance of building on the achievements of 2024.

“With your steadfast support, I am confident that 2025 will be a year of unprecedented progress,” he added.

The Chairman further highlighted that the budget aligns with the broader vision of Taraba State’s development as outlined in Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas’ transformative “Moving Forward Agenda.”

In his remarks, the Leader of the Jalingo Legislative Council, Hon. Isma’ila Usman, commended the Chairman for his efforts in developing the council and emphasized the strong collaboration between the Executive and Legislative arms.

He assured that various departments would soon be invited for budget defense to expedite its passage.
