A member of the All Progressive Congress(APC) Dr. Lanre Oluwaniyi has berated the federal government for appointing members of the National Working Committee of the party as Chairmen of Boards of various agencies of government.
Dr. Oluwaniyi said it’s illegal for those holding elective positions in the party to at the same time be appointed into government parastatals.
He said “there are a lot of people who expended their time, resources to work for the success of APC in the 2023 election. Such people should be compensated instead of burden people who are already occupied with appointments that would make them ineffective”.
He called on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to revoke their appointments and reassigned such positions to other members of the APC who are still aggrieved after being neglected in positions Distributions.
He said 2027 election is crucial for the party and it will in the interest of the President to ensure peace is sustained ahead of the poll.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Friday named the National Chairman Of APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru and 40 others into the Boards of some federal government agencies.
