South Africa’s Ramaphosa Berates Trump Over Aid Withdrawal Threat
South African leader, Cyril Ramaphosa has fired back at President Donald Trump’s threat to withdraw aid over the country’s new land law, saying Trump should focus on his own problems in America.
The leader pointed out that Trump’s ancestors were responsible for wiping out Native Americans, and that Trump himself was not involved in the fight against apartheid in South Africa.
The new land law in South Africa aims to address historical injustices and inequality in land ownership. However, Trump has threatened to withdraw aid from the country, citing concerns about property rights and farmers.
In response, the South African leader told Trump to “leave us alone” and focus on his own problems in America. The leader also noted that South Africa was able to resolve the apartheid issue on its own, without Trump’s involvement.
