Nnamdi Azikiwe University Expels Student for Assaulting Lecturer
Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious, a 300-level student of History and International Studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, has been expelled from the institution for assaulting a lecturer from the Department of Theater and Film Studies.
 The expulsion, which takes immediate effect, was approved by the Acting Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the University Senate, following a report from the Student Disciplinary Committee.
According to the Acting Registrar, Mr. Victor I. Modebelu, the student’s actions were found to be a gross misconduct and a violation of the Students Disciplinary Regulations, particularly Regulation 4 (SDR) As a result, Chimamaka Precious is expected to vacate the University premises immediately and return any University property in her possession.
The university’s decision to expel the student serves as a strong warning to others that such behavior will not be tolerated. The institution remains committed to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students and staff.
