Saudi Arabia has donated 100 tons of dates to Nigeria through its embassy in Abuja.
The gift, organized by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), is part of the Kingdom’s annual effort to support those in need.
At an official ceremony, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Faisal bin Ibrahim Al-Ghamdi, spoke about the Kingdom’s dedication to humanitarian aid.
He thanked King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continued support in helping Muslims and vulnerable communities worldwide.
The donation includes 50 tons of dates for Abuja and another 50 tons for Kano.
The embassy is working with local authorities and aid organizations to ensure fair distribution, especially to struggling families.
Saudi Arabia has a long history of providing humanitarian aid to Nigeria and other countries.
This initiative reflects its commitment to helping communities, strengthening ties with Nigeria, and supporting global welfare efforts.
