Turkish authorities have arrested 282 people across 51 cities in a crackdown on suspected Kurdish militants.
The arrests, announced by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on Tuesday, come amid renewed discussions about ending the decades-long conflict between Turkey and Kurdish groups.
The operation, which lasted five days, targeted individuals allegedly linked to outlawed Kurdish groups.
Authorities in Istanbul issued arrest warrants for 60 people, including members of the pro-Kurdish DEM party and left-wing activists. So far, 52 of them have been detained.
The DEM party condemned the arrests, calling them a fresh wave of government pressure.
Meanwhile, the nationalist MHP party has suggested that jailed Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan could be released early if he renounces violence.
Backed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, this proposal has sparked new discussions about peace efforts.
