The swearing-in ceremony took place on the 27th of February 2025 at the Gym hall of the Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, the state capital.

Speaking on the occasion, Gov Agbu Kefas told the appointees that leadership is a trust and urged those sworn in to display integrity and a deep sense of responsibility.

He said leadership required patience, diligence, and focus and urged the new government officials to tow the path of peace, justice, and development in line with the goal and vision of his administration to move the state forward.

While saying that his government will welcome constructive criticism, the Governor warned mischiefmakers to steer clear of blackmailing his administration.

He said his government will continue to engage with the public, listen to concerns, and communicate his administration’s policies in the best way.

Dr Agbu Kefas took time to highlight the successes and gains of his administration so far in diverse sectors of the economy and announced that soon the state will experience robust infrastructural transformation and improve health care delivery in all nooks and crannies of the state.

The Governor said he is unlocking the abundant agriculture resources to tap the huge potential that exists in the sector for the benefit of the state.

According to him, his focus remains on delivering results and charging those sworn in to strive to make impacts, not to excuse-makers but to explain the policies of the government to the people.

He urged them to prioritize the interest of the state above personal one and added that the road ahead requires unity, resilience and a shared vision.

A symbolic presentation of the appointment was issued to Hon Kuriya Tafarki Auta.

The oath of office was administered to the appointees by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Filibus Agya.
