As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, Nigerians are celebrating Eid al-Fitr with messages of peace, compassion, and unity. Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, extended his warmest greetings to all Nigerians, both at home and abroad.
“On this joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, I extend my warmest greetings to all Nigerians,” said Ambassador Tuggar. “As we mark the completion of the holy month of Ramadan, let us embrace the values of peace, compassion, and unity that this sacred period represents.”
Ambassador Tuggar emphasised the importance of Eid as a time of gratitude and reflection, a moment to strengthen bonds as a nation and reaffirm commitment to love, kindness, and generosity toward one another.
“Eid is a time of gratitude and reflection, a moment to strengthen our bonds as a nation and reaffirm our commitment to love, kindness, and generosity toward one another,” he said. “It is also an opportunity to pray for continued progress, stability, and prosperity in our beloved country.”
The Honourable Minister also recognized the contributions of Nigerians living abroad, appreciating their role in fostering the good image of Nigeria globally.
“To our fellow Nigerians living abroad, we recognize your contributions to our nation’s development and appreciate your role in fostering the good image of Nigeria globally,” said Ambassador Tuggar. “May this Eid bring you renewed hope, joy, and a deeper connection to home.”
As Nigerians celebrate Eid, Ambassador Tuggar urged them to remember those facing hardship and conflict, both within and beyond their borders.
“As we celebrate, let us also remember those facing hardship and conflict, both within and beyond our borders,” he said. “In the spirit of Eid, let us extend our prayers and support to those in need, reaffirming our collective resolve for peace and harmony worldwide.”
Ambassador Tuggar expressed hope that the celebration of Eid would bring Nigerians closer together, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.
“As we mark this special occasion, I hope that we will all be reminded of the importance of unity and solidarity,” he said. “Let us strive to build bridges, not walls, and to work together towards a brighter future for our nation.”
On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tuggar wished all Nigerians a blessed and peaceful Eid, praying that the celebration would usher in a period of renewed strength, prosperity, and unity for the nation.
