The federal house of representative member representing ideato North and South federal constituency Hon Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, has once again come under what can best be described as
a political missile attack launched by his tormentor comrade Daboikiabo Z Warmate, over his comments against PDP leaders most especially, the acting national chairman ambassador Umar iliya Damagum, the national secretary most distinguish senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu and the FCT minister and former governor of Rivers State Barr. Nyeson Ezenwo Wike, has excited many PDP members and Nigerians.
In a viral video, Comrade Warmate, who has been nicknamed the tormentor of Ugochinyere, dismissed Ugochinyere’s influence and lies against the trio and accusing the lawmaker whom he described as lawbreaker of betrayal and deceit within the party, stating, “Ikenga Ugochinyere is nobody. I say it with every sense of responsibility. He doesn’t have that power. I told you that I don’t talk about my opinion, sentiments or emotions, I talk PDP constitution. Ugochinyere lies for a living and his stalk in trade is blackmail and propaganda.”
He claims that the lawmaker owes his being in the federal house of representative to powerful party figures like national secretary Anyanwu and minister Wike. And his fears of neither secure his return nor Imo state Gubernatorial ticket, has made him to bark like a local dog.
“I dare Ugochinyere to deny the fact that if not for Wike and Anyanwu, he would have been in the House of Representatives. I dare him to a public debate, I have done that on several media platforms severally but as the coward he his, he has always dodged it” Warmate declared.
Further condemning Ugochinyere, Warmate accused him of sustaining an extravagant lifestyle through deceit and betrayal and bitting the finger that fed him.
“That’s how Ugochinyere eats. That’s how he finances his beyond his income lifestyle. He would come to talk rubbish, and one or two people that he favours would give him money. In 2015/2016 minister Wike sustained him, later former SP. Saraki, to sucking suspended Gov. Fubara dry and now he has taken the straw/hose to Gov. Makinde and Mbah to suck them. His talk in trade is lying, blackmailing and propaganda, he is neither qualified nor worther to clear the shoes of Wike, Anyanwu and Damagum,” he said.
“And let me state this unequivocally clear that, there’s no group known to law or the green chamber as opposition law makers, it’s Ugochinyere’s hostling platform, the only known and recognized leader of the opposition lawmakers by law and the green chamber, is one of PDP finest lawmaker Rt. Hon. Kingsley Ogundu Chinda, Ugochinyere is just a legislative thaorwth.”
The confrontation reflects deepening divisions within the PDP, as Ikenga Ugochinyere has been a very controversial figure, having faced suspension and expulsion attempts that were later nullified by the party’s Publicity Secretary.
As for the 2027 elections, such internal conflicts highlight the challenges the opposition faces in presenting a united front against the ruling party and if not carefully handle the national secretary issue may lead to PDP not having candidate across Nigeria to present for 2027 general elections and even the up coming FCT area councils election.
