Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State is expected to officially defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) today.
Sources indicate that all local government chairmen, state assembly members, and commissioners are also likely to join the governor in switching allegiance to the ruling party.
The move follows Eno’s recent public endorsement of President Bola Tinubu, where he directed his appointees to either support the president’s agenda or resign from their positions.
