2027: Tinubu Restructuring Economy To Resolve Decades Of Mismanagement – Group

As activities intensify on the national political landscape ahead of the 2027 general election, a group, APC Advocacy and Appeasement Group has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is grappling with problems wrought by decades of mismanagement of the national economy by preceding administrations.

The group also called on the President to tinker with the Implementation approach and strategy of the renewed hope initiatives and programs to ensure it reaches more Nigerians especially those at the grassroot and fringes of the Nigerian state, to enhance his popularity and chances of re-election at the next general election.

According to the group, the spectacular performance and unprecedented achievements of Mr President is glaring only the mischievous and desperate wannabes cannot see them. Such as the local government autonomy, the NELFUND student loan scheme, the civil service reforms, the infrastructural restructuring scheme and the economic stabilization policies among others.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday at Agura Hotel, at the heart of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, the National Coordinator of the group, Dr Gambo Bala Iggi, said the new opposition coalition in form of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is nothing but recycled political failures desperately trying to hijack the voice of the people.

Iggi said, “The rise in fuel prices, transportation fares, youth unemployment, inflation of essential commodities, infrastructural stagnation, and economic pain are all direct consequences of years of misrule between 2007 and 2003, a time when the very people forming today’s so – called coalition chamenionically invading ADC, were in positions of power”

“These people are not strangers, the are former Governors, Senators, Ministers, and top party stakeholders mainly from the PDP and APC, who shamelessly betrayed the trust Nigerians gave them, pillaging Local Government joint accounts in the name of coordination as well as other systemic abuses such as institutionalized nepotism, impunity, imposition and the subversion of internal party democracy, thus threatening the foundations of our democracy “.

Speaking further, Iggi said the group has developed a proposal tagged, “Presidential Taskforce on Poverty, Indiscipline and Indisposed Public Awareness, PTF-PIIPA, designed to assist the president easily actualize his second term ambition. That it contains strategies to gain more than 20 million votes for his re-election and break the potential opposition margin.

Iggi, however lamented the inability to get the proposal to President Tinubu.

“Your excellency, we suspect growing internal conspiracy against your second term sir. In the cause of getting the proposal to reach you we experienced uncomfortable frustration from your system protocol which failed to respond to the letter and the proposal sent directly to your office and through the offices of the SGF, COS, some ministers and many of your appointed aide since April 2024.

“The failures begins to store suspicions in our humble minds that some opposition eye is widely working inside your office “.
