Trump Moves Nuclear Submarines Amid Tensions With Russia’s Medvedev

President Donald Trump has directed two U.S. nuclear submarines to reposition in response to rising tensions with Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev.

The move follows a series of sharp exchanges between the two leaders, who have been trading threats and warnings over social media in recent weeks.

Trump’s decision came after Medvedev, currently serving as deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, made comments referencing Russia’s Cold War-era nuclear system.

While Medvedev no longer holds the presidency, he remains closely tied to President Vladimir Putin and has been vocal in defending Russia’s military stance, especially regarding the conflict in Ukraine.

The situation escalated after Medvedev issued a warning suggesting Russia’s nuclear readiness should not be underestimated.

Trump responded by ordering the strategic movement of U.S. submarines to locations near Russia.

He said the action was a safeguard in case the Russian remarks carried real intent.

In his online messages, Trump criticized Russia’s leadership and economy, and stated that he wanted no part of U.S.-Russia business ties.

He also took aim at India’s economic cooperation with Russia, suggesting both countries could continue without U.S. involvement.

Medvedev appeared unfazed, posting on his Telegram channel and responding with sarcastic remarks.

He compared Trump’s reaction to scenes from zombie films, implying that Russia would continue its chosen path without concern for U.S. objections.

This exchange follows earlier online confrontations where both leaders made veiled threats involving nuclear weapons.

Trump has repeatedly pointed to America’s advanced military systems, especially its nuclear submarines, as unmatched by any global power.

The growing hostility adds to the already strained relations between Washington and Moscow, with the Ukraine war at the center of rising global concerns.
