A man from South Norwood has died following a stabbing in Croydon, prompting a murder investigation.
The victim, identified as Mr Aledejana, was pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency efforts.
Police were called to the area in the early hours of the morning, where they discovered the man with serious injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the victim’s family is being supported by specially trained officers.
Soon after the incident, police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue. Later on Sunday, officers also arrested a 23-year-old woman in connection with the case. She, too, is being held on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
Scotland Yard has yet to confirm the relationship between the suspects and the victim or the events leading up to the attack.
Investigators have appealed for anyone with information or local footage to come forward.
The area remains cordoned off while forensic teams conduct their work.
Police patrols in the area have been increased to reassure the public.
