Nigerian TikTok Sensation Peller Reportedly kidnapped

In a shocking turn of events, popular TikTok streamer Peller is said to have been kidnapped by unidentified individuals late Wednesday during a live broadcast, igniting widespread concern and conflicting updates regarding his situation.

Short clips circulating on TikTok and Instagram depict a brief altercation near a roadway at night, with live viewers asserting in the chat that he had been “kidnapped.”

According to a report from PM News, the rapidly ascending influencer vanished after being seized by unknown assailants on Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Various social media accounts amplified the reports, including posts on X and Facebook, which claimed the alleged abduction occurred during the livestream. However, details concerning the precise location, the motives behind the abduction, and the identities of the alleged kidnappers remain unclear.

Within hours, additional confusion arose as TikTok creators, referencing model-influencer Sandra Benede—a frequent collaborator with Peller—claimed in a live video that “Peller has been found.” These assertions have yet to be verified by law enforcement or established news outlets as of the latest updates.

The Nigeria Police Force has not released a statement specifically addressing this incident. Recent police briefings have discussed anti-kidnapping efforts in other regions, but Peller’s situation has not been mentioned. Attempts to contact the Lagos State Police Command for comments were unsuccessful at the time of publication.

Peller, widely known as Habeeb Hamzat, is a Lagos-born streamer who gained fame through viral TikTok livestreams and collaborations that consistently attract large audiences. Current profiles and coverage position him among Nigeria’s most popular young creators, with numerous brand partnerships and extensive social media reach.

The nature of the incident remains uncertain, with possibilities ranging from a criminal abduction to a case of mistaken identity or even an online hoax. No verified law enforcement accounts have confirmed the circumstances, and Peller’s current status and whereabouts remain undetermined.

Peller’s livestreams frequently dominate discussions within Nigeria’s creator community, often stirring controversy and eliciting intense fan reactions—elements that can lead to the spread of misinformation during rapidly unfolding events involving influencers. In recent months, there have been unrelated instances of staged or misreported “kidnappings” by creators worldwide, highlighting the importance of seeking official verification before drawing conclusions.

This story is still developing based on publicly available videos and initial media reports. Updates will follow if police or official representatives provide verifiable statements. In the interim, readers are advised to approach unverified videos with caution and rely on official channels for confirmed information.
