Eighteen (18) passengers travelling along the Benin-Auchi Highway in the newly floated Edo Line, were on Saturday morning kidnapped in Edo State.
The victims who were said to be Abuja bound passengers were forced into the bush by the daredevil kidnappers before operatives of the Nigerian Police arrived to the scene of the incident.
A viral video from scene of the incident showed long queue of vehicles parked on both sides of the express road.

As at the time of filing this report, the abductors were yet to make any contact to demand ransom.
