The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally recognised the new leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), confirming former Senate President, Senator David Bonaventure Mark, as the party’s National Chairman.
The commission updated the party’s particulars on its official website on Wednesday in Abuja, effectively drawing the curtain on months of internal wrangling over control of the opposition party.
Under the newly ratified National Working Committee, former Osun State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has been listed as National Secretary, while other key positions include:
Dr Mani Ibrahim Ahmad – National Treasurer
Akibu Dalhatu – National Financial Secretary
Prof. Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor, former Edo State governor – National Legal Adviser
Political observers say the development marks a turning point for the ADC, with expectations that the new leadership will reposition the party and sharpen its strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
