President Bola Tinubu has appointed new executive directors to serve on the board of the North Central Development Commission.
The announcement was made on Tuesday through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen.
Those appointed include Biliquis Sanni, who will oversee Administration and Human Resources; Aisha Ibrahim, who will manage Commercial and Industrial Development; James Uloko, in charge of Corporate Services; Muhammad Bashar, responsible for Finance; and Atika Ajanah, who will handle Projects.
According to the statement, the newly appointed directors are expected to support the board in fulfilling the commission’s mandate of driving development in the North-Central region.
The North Central Development Commission was established in February 2025 after President Tinubu signed the bill into law. It was created to improve infrastructure, tackle ecological problems, and boost economic growth across states in the North-Central zone, including Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory.
The commission is expected to play a key role in addressing the challenges facing the region, such as insecurity, flooding, and other issues slowing down progress.
