The Chairman of Kebbe Local Government Area in Sokoto State, Hon. Abdullahi Yarima Kebbe, has died after a long illness.
He passed away on Friday at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto, where he had been receiving medical care. His death has left the people of Kebbe in mourning, as he was known for his years of service in grassroots leadership and dedication to community development.
The late council boss is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren. His family described him as a devoted leader who worked tirelessly for the progress and well-being of his people.
According to Islamic tradition, his burial will be held today after the Jumu’at prayers at his residence in Bado.
News of his death spread quickly across Kebbe and surrounding areas, with political associates, residents, and friends expressing sorrow over the loss of a man many regarded as humble, compassionate, and committed to public service.
