Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, representing Cross River North Senatorial District, has restored electricity to Abouchiche and Ketting communities in Bekwarra and Obanliku Local Government Areas through the installation of new 500KVA transformers.
The project is part of the senator’s ongoing efforts to ensure equitable distribution of electricity across the district and stabilize supply in underserved communities.

Speaking on behalf of Senator Jarigbe during the commissioning, his Constituency Officer, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, described electricity as a foundation for development. He explained that steady power would stimulate industrial growth, revive commercial activities, improve healthcare delivery, and enhance educational outcomes.
Residents of the communities welcomed the project with gratitude, describing it as more than an infrastructure upgrade. “These transformers are not just about electricity. They represent hope, progress, and the return of economic and social life to our communities. We thank Senator Jarigbe for bringing light back to our people after years of blackouts,” some of them said.
The intervention, according to observers, underscores Senator Jarigbe’s commitment to improving the living standards of his constituents and fostering sustainable development across Cross River North Senatorial District.
