Bishop of the Global Methodist Church in Nigeria GMCN, Bishop John Pena has called on the federal government to crash down prices of essential commodities in the country.
The Bishop who was speaking at the backdrop of the sixty fifth independence anniversary of Nigeria said the federal government has done well by crashing the prices of food items which same should be done to other commodities.
He pointed out that there is ray of hope for the country with the way things are moving in the country hence the need for the people to support and pray for leaders at all levels.
“The journey has not been smooth so far as Nigerians have passed through lots of challenges which has been surmounted.
“No society develop in chaotic situation hence the need for all Nigerians to embrace peace for development to thrive.
On the GMCN hospital,Pena said it is a non profit making organization that has helped many people including the less privileged in the society.
He appreciated Nigerian President Bola Amed Tinubu, Taraba State Governor Doctor Agbu Kefas for working tirelessly to develop the country and state.
The Bishop,maintained that God has been faithful for keeping Nigeria intact for the past sixty five years.
“I encouraged Nigerians to love,tolerate one another and live as one indivisible entity – he said.
