The Ofachi Area Development Movement of Oganenigu, has expressed gratitude to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for initiating the construction of the Iyale-Odolu-Aloko,, Oganenigu road in Oganenigu ward, Dekina local government.
In a statement signed by the President of the Ofachi Area Development Movement, Pastor. Samuel Ugbedeojo Shaibu, the Egena of Oganenigu, His Highness Imaji Omojayi and Gago of Ugbabo, Chief Oboh Jona Idakwoji, who represented other Gagos appreciated the governor’s commitment to improving the socio-economic wellbeing and connectivity of communities within Kogi State.
The statement also applauded the effort of an All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in the area, Dr Abdulrahman Ocholi Ameloko, who also contributed immensely to the approval of the project by the Kogi State governor.
“The road, upon completion, will significantly enhance transportation, facilitate trade, improve access to social amenities, and contribute immensely to the overall development of our area,” the statement read.
The community commended Governor Ododo’s visionary leadership and dedication to transforming Kogi State through impactful projects. “We commend your visionary leadership and dedication to transforming Kogi State through impactful projects that touch the lives of citizens,” the statement added.
The people of Ofachi and neighbouring communities are optimistic about the positive changes the road will bring, including improved economic opportunities, better accessibility to healthcare and education, and enhanced quality of life.
“We appreciate Your Excellency’s responsiveness to the needs of our communities and your tireless efforts in driving development across Kogi State,” the statement concluded.
The Ofachi Area Development Movement assured the governor of their unwavering support and prayers for his continued success in office.
Recall that the journey to the approval of the project dates back to 2022, when the Ofachi Area Development Movement paid a visit to the then Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and his Commissioner for Rural Development, Daniel Oneh Ejigbo. The Rural Access & Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) was eventually approved but was pended for the succeeding administration.
The current Commissioner for Energy and Rural Development, Hon. Engr. Abdulmutalib Muhammad, also received kudos for the courage and grace to implement the project, thanking him in advance as the project gets underway.
