The Controller-General of the Nigerian Forest Security Service, Joshua Wole, has pledged the agency’s commitment to collaborate with sister security organizations to enhance national security across the country.
Mr. Wole made the pledge while speaking with journalists in Abuja.
He emphasized that effective synergy among security agencies was critical to tackling emerging threats, particularly those linked to illegal activities within the nation’s forest reserves.
The Commander General expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his foresight in establishing the Nigerian Forest Security Service, describing it as a bold step toward safeguarding the nation’s natural resources and curbing criminal operations often coordinated from forest areas.
He assured Nigerians that under his leadership, the service would work closely with the military, police, and other relevant agencies to ensure the protection of lives, property, and the environment.
Mr. Wole further reiterated his commitment to professionalism, discipline, and intelligence-driven operations as the service begins full implementation of its mandate.
